Beginning June 7, the Georgetown Art Center is proud to present the opening of our newest exhibit Three Hands Round. Three Hands Round is a showcase of the work of May Ann Nailos, Amy Nelson, and Sherri Lipman McCauley. One experiment. Three friends. Three different artistic styles. Three sets of hands modifying each piece. In a creative departure from their normal method of work, they challenged each other to create the start of an art quilt, hand it to another member for modification, pass it to the third person, then back to the original member for finishing touches. Without planning or consulting each other, each member responded to the work in front of them. The exhibit includes the twelve pieces created in this style, as well as pieces created independently.
The exhibit will run from June 7 - July 7, 2024 and is free to attend. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, June 8 from 4-6pm, and an artist talk on Sunday, June 9 at 2pm.
