Musical Mediation III: “Oriental: Sound Poetry”
Cello and Guitar duo by Francesco Mastromatteo and Noemi Passiatore. Featuring works by Granados, Morricone, Gnattali, along with world premiere by Figliola and American premiere by Tusiani. Part of the “The East in the West: Sounds, Minds and Dharma” Spring Festival presented by Classical Music For the World (CMFW) with events April 18-May 4 featuring performances by Italian artists Francesco Mastromatteo, cello, Noemi Passiatore, classical guitar, University of Austin professor, Sandy Yamamoto, violin, as well as musicians from Austin Symphony Orchestra and the Butler School of Music at UT Austin. All events are free and open to the public with receptions following each event. All ages are welcome.
