Letterpress PLAY Professional Speaker Series Featuring Paul Soady
We're honored to kick off our Professional Speaker Series with Paul Soady, an award-winning typographer and creative director with over 35 years of experience in graphic design. For over two decades, Paul has influenced American designers while teaching at ArtCenter College of Design. Experience a glimpse of the ArtCenter classroom as Paul presents his lecture titled "Metal to Mac" and leads a hands-on letterpress printing demo on Friday, March 8, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. Did you know Steve Jobs drew inspiration from typography, shaping modern computing? Paul's journey from the early 'Mad Men' era to contemporary typography makes him a living historian of our digital age. Paul's significance extends to Letterpress PLAY's journey; he introduced letterpress printing to our Founder and Creative Director, Kyle Hawley, during her ArtCenter tenure.”
