TY&CO Presents: What Remains
TY&CO invites you to experience an evening of dance, technology, and storytelling for one weekend only. Warmly welcoming New York City-based Peter Stathas Dance as a featured guest company, the evening invites audiences to embark on a journey of profound physicality in TY&CO's most ambitious production since its inception.
Act I: Peter Stathas Dance
Peter Stathas Dance presents two moving duets, Kathedra and Assuage, featuring Ty Graynor and Lauren Twomley.
Kathedra (2022) returns to Austin in a homecoming performance. Originally premiered at First Street Studio, this work explores the physical and emotional landscapes of connection, unity, and individuality within a shared relationship.
Assuage (2018) premiered at Gibney Dance in NYC, portraying the raw, dramatic attempts of a couple striving to connect and overcome the physical and emotional obstacles that define their bond.
Special Closing Night Feature:
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 7:30 PM, Act I will begin with an exclusive screening of Inhibition, TY&CO's latest dance film created in collaboration with filmmaker Jack Kloecker and composer Daniel Louis White.
Act II: The World Premiere of What Remains
Choreographed by Ty Graynor & Company
The convergence of an earthly being and divine feminine spirits unravels a timeline of reconnection and remembrance. Accompanied by Franz Liszt’s transcendent compositions, the audience will be intimately contained in the depths of these beings' transmutation.
