September 2025 Fix-It Clinic
Got a broken item like a torn shirt, faulty blender or worn-out toy? Bring them to a Fix-It Clinic and learn hands-on repair skills with help from our expert volunteers—free of charge!
New policy: We will no longer work on computers, cell phones, or tablets at the Fix-It Clinic. These projects often require extensive troubleshooting and take up a lot of our volunteers' time.
How it works: Bring up to two items (excluding computers, cellphones, and tablets) and work with our coaches to learn how to fix them. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. If you know your item needs a replacement part, please bring it with you. While we can't guarantee every item will be repaired, you'll learn how it works and what you may need to fix it. Note that our electronics/miscellaneous category is the most popular and sometimes there is a wait to work with a volunteer.
Drop-off option: Can't attend in person? Drop off your item at the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center (808 Nile St.), September 5-11. We'll try to fix it, and you can pick it up September 15-20. Items not claimed by September 20 will be donated. Space is limited, and a waiver is required.
