Half Empty Half Full—Literary Comedy Game Show
The show's host, comedian and poet Valerie Nies (McSweeney's, Rattle, and the comedy show Smile More), is joined by a panel of clever judges to choose who wins: the comedians and writers who see life half full or half empty!
The lineup for January includes stand-up comedians Symply Courtney (improv with Sugar, Water Purple and KAZI 88.7 FM's Morning Grind) and Joe Green (Late Mic Friday) along with writers Marissa Anne Ayala (founder of East Austin Writing Project with coverage and work in Poets of Queens Anthology, Tupelo Press, Poets & Writers, The Cut, and more) and Phillip Mandel (founder of Abandon Journal with works in The Gettysburg Review, Passages North, Hobart, Bull, and more).
Judges include the cynically hilarious: Jen Brown, Patrick Gallagher, and Half Empty Half Full staple Tyler Randle.
