The event will feature a special menu with Caribbean-inspired Irish fare such as Rum Batter Fish and “Chips” and Guinness Pepperpot “Hand Pies.” Guests will also enjoy a live DJ and special cocktails.
The event explores the historical and cultural ties between Ireland and the Caribbean, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries when Irish immigrants, often indentured servants, arrived alongside enslaved Africans. Many settled in islands such as Jamaica, Barbados and Saint Lucia, influencing local culture through language, music and religious practices. Over time, Irish descendants in the Caribbean formed unique communities, blending Irish traditions with African and indigenous influences, contributing to the region's rich cultural mosaic.
