Canje x Chef Picky | Trini Party
On Sunday, December 3, Canje is teaming up with Osei Blackett from New York City, better known as “Chef Picky” for a Trinidadian party complete with Trini food street food, dancing, unique cocktails and a DJ. Picky is the Chef and Owner at Ariapita, Chef Picky Events + Catering, Everything Oxtai, and his extremely popular, “Pop up” food-focused events referred to as "The Picky Experience". The party will be held at Canje on Sunday, December 3 from 5:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Chef Picky remembers his early days assisting his mother in the kitchen as some of his most cherished childhood memories. Taking an interest in the culinary arts at a very young age, he eventually migrated to the US to hone his skills and pursue his passion for cooking. His culinary journey has taken him to prestigious heights, executing menus at The James Beard House, Gracie Mansion and the United Nations Offices. Picky’s goal is to bring awareness to what makes Trinbagonian food so special as it has always been connected to memories of grandparents, parents, friends and community. He plans to use these cherished home recipes and his knowledge of the food industry to share it with foodies across America plate by plate.
Admission for the event is free and guests can RSVP via Eventbrite. Lot parking and street parking are available.
