Third Thursday: Jaws
Join us after work every Third Thursday for special extended Museum hours from 5 to 7 p.m.! Explore the exhibitions, enjoy food and drinks in The Star Cafe, and connect to the story of Texas. Different activities are offered each month. Museum garage parking is free after 5 p.m.
Check out the galleries and complete a special themed scavenger hunt in the Sharks special exhibition starting at 5 p.m. From 6 to 8:30 p.m., join us in the Texas Spirit Theater for a screening of Steven Spielberg's iconic masterpiece, Jaws. Prepare yourself for an evening filled with suspense, thrill, and a deep dive into one of the most legendary movies in cinematic history with opening remarks from guest speaker Dr. Janet M. Davis, Distinguished Professor of American Studies and History at the University of Texas at Austin.
After the screening, stay for a presentation and Q&A with Dr. Davis.
Museum exhibition galleries will be open for exploration from 5 to 7 p.m.
