Get ready for an unforgettable evening that celebrates one of our greatest cultural icons - presented by Sri Sanatan Dham.
Experience “Enchantment” — the powerful original bio-play on Pandit Ravi Shankar — written by acclaimed arts journalist and playwright Gowri Ramnarayanan and featuring music by the maestro himself.
Enchantment is an intimate theatrical journey into the inner life of music giant Ravi Shankar.
Premiering to acclaim in Chennai, Enchantment traces the extraordinary journey of the legendary sitarist who carried Indian classical music from intimate mehfils to the world’s grandest stages. From a young boy in Paris dancing in his brother’s troupe... to the intense disciple in a remote gurukul... to the relentless artist carving his path... and finally to the global icon who placed Indian music firmly on the world map — this is Ravi Shankar as you’ve never seen him before. Through moments of vulnerability and brilliance, the play reveals how Ravi Shankar transformed adversity into artistic triumph. Through evocative dialogue, original music by Ravi Shankar, and expressive dance, the play is a universal journey of ambition, doubt, resilience, and the search for inner light.
Presented by JustUs Repertory, a boundary-pushing theatre collective known for blending modern theatrical techniques with the depth of Indian culture. With 26 acclaimed productions across India, the US, the UK, and South Asia — including a celebrated run at Soho Theatre — the troupe brings world-class storytelling to the stage. Written by Gowri Ramnarayanan and shaped by the maestro's own witty and poignant words, Enchantment weaves theatre, live dance, and music into a richly immersive experience. The production features Ravi Shankar's original sitar recordings and exclusive compositions rendered by Bombay Jayashri, with Aditya Prakash, Vignesh Ishwar, and Chaitra Sairam.
Enchantment is more than a play. It’s nostalgia. It’s inspiration. It’s identity.
Come relive the ragas.
Come witness the struggle.
Come celebrate the legend.
