Moving Mythologies from India: An Evening of Traditional Dances by Austin Dance India -- with live musical accompaniment
Austin Dance India, under the artistic direction of Austin Arts Hall of Famer, Anuradha Naimpally, presents a performance with live musical accompaniment by touring artists from India and the US featuring Vidwan Shree Siva Prasad NN on vocals, Surabi Veeraraghavan on nattuvangam, Vidwan Dr Tanjavur Keshavan on mridangam, and Vidwan Shree Umamahesh on violin. Dancers include Anuradha Naimpally, Purna Bajekal and Soumya Nagesh, along with longtime Austin Dance India students. Colorful costumes, live music, rhythmic footwork, engaging stories, and beautiful movement make this a unique cultural experience for all ages.
Samosas, chai, and snacks will be available for sale. Silent auction with beautiful Indian fabrics and artwork, golf lessons, personal wellness coaching session, and more!
