Springtime Storytime at the AARC

Spend your mornings at the AARC this spring break and join us for our springtime story time series! Bring the little ones and listen to stories celebrating our Asian American heritage and families. We will also be joined on March 13th and March 15 for special readings featuring local Asian American children book authors, Irene Kang and Cathy Lu. Each session will feature two books, one family friendly craft activity, and the option to take family portraits! Attend three or more sessions and get a fun bag of goodies on the last day of the series, March 16! Storytime will take place during our senior program—grandparents and guardians encouraged to attend! Please note that the family portraits are optional; with permission given, they will be used in a future AARC portrait exhibit highlighting intergenerational families. Free with RSVP. Books and activities suitable for ages 4 to 7, but open to all. Select only one ticket per household. Reading schedule below. Schedule Monday March 13, 10AM-11AM: My Favorite Gift and My Beautiful Earth, featuring author Irene Kang of Spark Collection. Tuesday March 14, 10AM-11AM: Baba, What Does My Name Mean? A Journey to Palestine and the Most Beautiful Thing Wednesday March 15, 10AM-11AM: ABCs for ABCs, featuring author Cathy Lu, and Bilal Cooks Daal. Thursday March 16, 10AM-11AM: Dear Juno and I’ll Go and Come Back
