Join us for a screening of In the Rearview, a critically acclaimed, award-winning documentary by Polish filmmaker Maciek Hamela. The film was shortlisted for the 2024 Academy Awards.
In the early days of the Russian invasion, Hamela bought a van and evacuated civilians from war zones. For months, he drove east, offering refugees a lifeline and recording their stories. His van became a moving refuge and witness to survival. The resulting film offers a raw, honest portrait of war without exploiting violence. It has won over 30 international awards and praise for its emotional depth.
