Parking
Parking is available in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage. Note that pricing may vary, and parking may be limited and/or street closures in place due to special events in the Capitol Complex. Special event parking fees may apply in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage and others in the area. Visitors are advised to check the State Preservation Board’s parking website for more information.
Metered spaces are available on San Jacinto St. and throughout the downtown area. Parking in front of the building on Brazos St. is limited and discouraged. In addition to the handicapped parking spaces in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage, limited handicapped parking spaces for the Capitol Complex are located in the front of the building on Brazos St. For public transit schedules, view the Capitol Metro website. Rideshare and dockless mobility options are available in the area.
