Garth Manor Presents: The Video Dead
From Garth Manor: “Straight to video” is our theme for this month’s Horror Section and there is no better example than The Video Dead (1987). Think Weird Science meets night of the living dead. Jeff and his sister Zoe find themselves the 2nd owner of a mysterious TV which only plays a film called “Zombie Blood Nightmare,”. Unfortunately for the siblings, the video dead inside the TV break the fourth wall and emerge from the screen doing what you expect, but the way to defeat them may surprise you. The Video Dead is a staple of any respectable video store horror section including We Luv Video and features a short, but sweet appearance from Michael St. Michaels (The Greasy Strangler).
