"Americans, A Divided People: Policies, Politicians, and People Who Have Kept Us Together," Part 2
Presenter John Imperiale will show through historical examples that Americans have always been divided and always came through what lessons have we learned from American history from the signing of the Constitution to today. He will delve into how Americans dealt with divisive factions, discuss the policies that divided us and the solutions that bound us. Part 2 will focus on how our people divided through the industrial vs agrarian cultures and mindsets, the challenge of immigration, the impact of 2 world wars, the depression, civil rights and today’s gender (LGBTQ) rights, women’s rights and indigenous rights.
