Mayor Marty Small Sr. To Address PR Council of Greater A.C. on April 30


Members of the public are invited to attend the luncheon 11:45 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at Cardinal Restaurant, 201 S. New York Ave., Atlantic City. Attendees will enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon and hear from Mayor Small on such issues as: new residential development; a substantial tax decrease; Moody's upgrades for AC; Atlantic City Aquarium reopening; Sheila Oliver Plaza and what’s coming in the summer season. Cost is $45 for members and $60 for non-members with a reservation. Walk-ins are charged an additional $5. Free parking is available adjacent to the restaurant. About Our Speaker: At age 29, Marty was the youngest elected councilman in the history of Atlantic City and subsequently served as 2nd Ward Councilman and City Council President. He achieved a life goal when, on October 3, 2019, he became acting Mayor for the City of Atlantic City. By unanimous vote, Marty was then selected to become the 4th African-American Mayor in the history of Atlantic City. He was officially elected Mayor in November 2021. A graduate of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Marty has worked as a social caseworker for the City of Atlantic City, a youth program manager for the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City and coordinator of elementary extracurricular activities for the Atlantic City Board of Education. He and his wife, Dr. La’Quetta Small, Superintendent of the Atlantic City School District, have two children. -30-
