Amelia Earhart - What Really Happened. Presented by Mark Allen

What Really Happened to Amelia Earhart – an alternative theory Mark Allen is comfortable wearing many hats. Professionally, he brings to the table a demonstrated track record of designing, promoting, and producing multi-faceted activities such as offshore fishing tournaments, boat shows, and club rendezvous as well as a wide array of community related events. Mark’s professional experience and credentials are the envy of the industry. Mark is an active supporter and promoter of Cape May non-profits. He served as Board President for Family Promise of Cape May County, and for many years on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (now Museums, Arts and Culture). In 2008 he was one of the original organizers of Cape May’s first ever Harbor Fest. He continues to lend his writing and screenplay writing skills to the Nature Center of Cape May, the United Methodist Church of Cape May and his weekly column, “The Other Side” that can be found in Cape May’s hometown newspaper, the Cape May Star and Wave. In 2016 he brought “The Other Side” to the airwaves on Cape May’s local radio station, WCFA Radio which can be heard every Friday from 1 to 2, on 101.5 or worldwide via live-streaming at www.capemayradio.org. A retired Lt. Colonel with over 27 years flying experience with the United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force (Air National Guard), Mark’s military career included 6 years as a Marine Corps Naval Flight Officer flying the F-4N, J and S Phantom II, 11 years as an Air Force Command Navigator flying F-4D & E Phantoms and 10 more years in KC-135E air refuelers. His final assignment was Commanding Officer of the 150th Air Refueling Squadron, McGuire AFB. During his long career, he also participated in exchange tours with the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the Deutsch Luftwaffe. He finally retired from active military service in 2000. Finally, he is much sought after as a speaker on the topic of Amelia Earhart, specifically the circumstances and theories surrounding her mysterious disappearance in the South Pacific in July, 1937.
