Atlantic City Police Public Safety Civilian Academy
Familiarity with the basic principles of the various departments, is the key to better understanding the actions and reactions of the Public Safety personnel within the community. Classes/Tours included: Presentations from the ACPD Community Relations/NCO Units, Bomb Squad, SWAT, Forensics, Vice/Narcotics, a K-9 demonstration, etc. As well as Tours to 911 Communications (City Hall), Surveillance Rm (Public Safety Bldg.), a Fire Station and more. The Academy runs from September 25, 2024 - November 20, 2024, (9-weeks), Wednesdays (only), from 12:00pm-2:00pm, at the AC Police Athletic League (AC PAL Bldg), with a Graduation/Dinner Ceremony to follow. This is an "informational" class and is FREE to Atlantic City residents (Adults).
