Golf Fore Kids

The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is holding its annual fundraiser, Golf Fore Kids, to support the club that many kids call their second home. The 14th annual tournament, presented by South Jersey Industries, will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024. For the first time, the fundraiser will be held at the historic Atlantic City Country Club, 1 Leo Fraser Drive, Northfield, NJ. Funds raised will benefit the local club, which provides the safe places, caring mentors, and life-enhancing programs that prepare kids and teens for great futures. “Guests will enjoy a great tournament with contests, a silent auction, prizes and a fantastic swag bag, while also benefitting a worthy cause,” according to co-chairs Jake Perskie and Steve Cocchi. “Spend the day on the green, network with others who care about our kids, and enjoy a day of premier golf in one of America’s oldest and most prestigious golf clubs.” Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A putting contest and lunch will take place from 12 to 1 pm. Golfers tee off at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. Following play, golfers will enjoy a cocktail reception at 5 pm and an awards dinner from 6-8 pm. Golf Fore Kids is organized by a volunteer committee once again led by Jake Perskie and Steve Cocchi, longtime cochairs and board members. Pairing Party for Golfers & Sponsors The Pairing Party, sponsored by The Finkel Group at Merrill Lynch, will be held on Sunday, September 22 at the Atlantic City Country Club. Registration and swag bag pickup is at 3:30 pm. There will be a golf clinic on the driving range, as well as a chipping contest, from 4-5 p.m. The Pairing Party will take place from 5-8 pm. There will be a silent auction including the opportunity to win golf getaways. All registered golfers receive complimentary admission. Admission for Sunday’s activities is a $150 donation. Pairing Party sponsorships are available for $500 and include admission for two and a photo opportunity.
