The Hispanic Association of Atlantic County (HAAC) is hosting the Atlantic City Latino Festival on September 8th at the Showboat’s outdoor event lot behind the Island Water Park on New Jersey Ave and the Boardwalk. This exciting community event if free of charge to everyone thanks to funding from Atlantic City Electric, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, CRDA, Atlanticare, La Mega as well support from the city of Atlantic City and other sponsors.
This community celebration of Hispanic culture is the perfect start to Hispanic Heritage month, which is commentated from September 15 - October 15. The festival is full of the rhythms from throughout Latin America including international merengue sensation, Oro Solido with Raul Acosta, nicknamed 'El Presidente'. Acosta will join a lineup of diverse Hispanic entertainment, including Mariachi, Salsa, Cumbia and Folkloric dance groups. This festive family event includes, authentic Hispanic food, and variety of vendors. In addition there will be a resource fair comprised of over organizations providing information and resources on health, social services, education and career opportunities.
