Young innovators will take center stage at the upcoming STEAM Fair hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. The event will highlight the creativity and problem-solving skills of club members in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). The fair will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at Drexel Club, 1010 Drexel Ave., and Thursday, March 27, at Chelsea Club, 215 N. Sovereign Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m.
Free and open to the community, the STEAM Fair will feature interactive demonstrations and engaging presentations by club members who have been actively involved in the organization’s STEAM programs. Attendees can look forward to robot coding, Lego building adventures (botanical, Artemis and earth orbit), hydraulics, petri dish experiment, wind turbines, Nanobug robots, Sphero mazes, and more.
“The STEAM Fair is an opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work and creativity,” said Mia Williams, STEAM Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. “These projects are not only fun but also prepare our youth with critical thinking and problem-solving skills they will carry into the future.”
Powered by the Arman Roy Foundation
The Boys & Girls Club’s STEAM program is made possible through the generous support of the Arman Roy Foundation, which has provided a $33,880 grant to fund STEAM educators and resources. This is the second year of an impactful partnership aimed at bridging the digital divide and empowering underserved youth with 21st-century technology education.
“Innovation and technology open doors to incredible opportunities, and it’s inspiring to see these students explore their potential,” said Manisha Roy, Chairperson of the Arman Roy Foundation. “Arman understood the importance of access to technology, and through this partnership, we continue to honor his legacy by ensuring more children have the tools they need to succeed.”
