Stage Performer Darryl Maximilian Robinson Recommends The Mahatma Gandhi For Summer Reading

Chicago-born and LA-based Theatre Artist Darryl Maximilian Robinson has a suggestion for American voters who desire some pertinent summer reading.

The Mahatma Gandhi, the founder of the greatest, most peaceful, non-violent movement against authoritarian rule ( by The British Empire ), was assassinated ( by gunfire ) for preaching civil resistance and an end to classism in India. He inspired millions around the world, including Nobel Peace Prize Winner, the late, great African-American Civil Rights Leader The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ( who was also assassinated by gunfire ) to peacefully and civilly protest wrongs committed by The American Government.

It is therefore not entirely surprising, a generation after an assassination attempt on the life of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, that an assassination attempt has now occurred on an individual who has frequently preached and provoked violence ( including an insurrection at The U. S. CAPITOL ) with absolutely no regard or respect for THE CONSTITUTION or democracy or civil rights or human rights at all.

Current U.S. President Joe Biden is correct. VIOLENCE HAS NO PLACE IN OUR NATION'S POLITICAL DISPUTES! Bullets should not be flying for any reason. Ballots should be allowed to determine who the next leader of our nation should be peacefully, nonviolently, civilly and LEGALLY.

AND EVERY AMERICAN VOTER REGARDLESS OF RACE, RELIGION, COLOR, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, POLITICAL PARTY OR ECOMONIC CLASS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO VOTE WITHOUT THREATS OR INTIMIDATION OR VIOLENCE!

And this commentator has no doubt that by showing the World the greatness of AMERICAN DEMOCRACY, those who followed the path of Ghandi would be proud.

Here is a link to the literary works of The Mahatma Gandhi as well as a classic film trailer regarding his extraordinary life.
