American Cancer Society Hope Ball
The American Cancer Society (ACS) Hope Ball, presented by Delta Air Lines, will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m., at The St. Regis, 88 West Paces Ferry Rd. NW, Atlanta.
The American Cancer Society’s annual signature gala and one of the metro area’s premiere events, Hope Ball brings together influential leaders from Atlanta’s social, philanthropic, and corporate communities to help fund local patient programs and services.
The 2024 Hope Ball chair is Erik Snell, senior vice president, Airport Customer Service, Cargo Operations, Ground Support Equipment and Global Clean at Delta Air Lines. Hope Ball Co-chair is Ken McCue, vice president, Technical Supply Chain and Delta Materials at Delta Air Lines.
The evening will begin with an elegant cocktail hour and silent auction complemented by the sounds of Joe Gransden and his Big Band. Patrons will enjoy an exquisite, multi-course dinner from Executive Chef Jordan Barnett of The St. Regis Atlanta before an exciting live auction.
On event night, funds raised during the Hope Ball Mission Moment will directly impact the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge, located on Emory University’s campus in Decatur. Hope Lodge offers a solution to cancer patients when the best treatment options are far from home. It’s not simply a free place to stay, but it’s a home away from home helping to alleviate the strain of travel and some of the financial and emotional burden faced by families. Last year, Hope Lodge provided 15,068 free nights of lodging to cancer patients and caregivers, saving families nearly $3 million in hotel expenses.
Once again, this year the Board of Ambassadors will host a VIP reception at Hope Ball for platinum sponsors as an opportunity before the main event to network with other top executives and strengthen business connections.
The evening will continue with an after-party where guests can dance to DJ Era, mingle with corporate leaders, and party with a purpose. There will be a premium open bar and late-night bites.
