A Night of Chopin: Yang (Jack) Gao in Recital
“Chopin is the greatest of all, for with the piano alone he discovered everything,” according to Debussy. Chopin’s sorrow, joy, and tenderness in the hands of 21-year-old Chinese pianist Yang (Jack) Gao is sure to captivate and thrill. Gao, winner of the 2023 Naumburg International Piano Competition, will perform an all-Chopin concert on Saturday, September 20 at 7 p.m. at Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of his preparation for the 2025 Chopin International Piano Competition. Hailed as virtuosic, effortless, and passionate, we invite you to witness one of tomorrow’s most promising musicians.
