Growing up, Dodd split his time between competitive golf and an undeniable pull toward music. After earning a golf scholarship to Georgia College & State University, he left the fairways behind and transferred to the University of Georgia to study music business and immerse himself in Athens’ music scene and was a move that shaped both his songwriting and live performance style.
Dodd moved to Nashville in 2014 and quickly gained national attention. Named a CMT Discovery Artist in 2016, he released his debut EP Fun / Fire / Rain, produced by Jesse Triplett of Collective Soul. Music Videos and Singles for “Outskirts” and “The Reason” both reached #1 on CMT’s 12-Pack Countdown, while “Baecation” hit #1 on the nationally syndicated Bobby Bones Show.
Known for high-energy, emotionally charged performances, Dodd has shared stages with Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Zac Brown Band, and more, while building a songwriting catalog that has generated over 75 million streams. Now, Dodd is entering a new era with OCONEE – his first vinyl release and most personal project to date. Already drawing praise from critics for its raw honesty and genre-bending sound, the album pays tribute to the Georgia roots that shaped him. To celebrate the release, Dodd returns to Eddie’s Attic, the venue where his career began, for a full-circle vinyl release show honoring both where he started and where he’s headed next.
