Fall Atlanta Home Show

The Atlanta Home Show returns to the Cobb Galleria with three days of wall-to-wall content and features including home improvement ideas, local experts, project inspiration and educational stage presentations. Back by popular demand, special guests Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson of HGTV's "Married to Real Estate" headline the Fresh Ideas Stage Friday and Saturday. In addition to Egypt and Mike’s appearances, other show features include:    Thrift Score On The Show Floor. Secondhand shoppers, it’s a dream come true: the best home décor items cultivated from 10 Goodwill of North Georgia stores into one spot – right on the Atlanta Home Show floor. The “Best of Goodwill” feature brings together hand-picked items that guests can browse and purchase at the show.  Many of these items are “one of one” unique products that not only help stretch the budget – every purchase helps to fuel Goodwill of North Georgia’s mission to put people to work in the community.    Aging In Place. Many are seeking ways to update their homes so that it allows for “aging in place” – adding safety and comfort features that help adapt to all ages and stages of life. AARP of Georgia will present their AARP HomeFit program, helpful and free resources to help navigate the aging in place process. Look for their daily presentations on the Fresh Ideas Stage, or visit them in their space located on the show floow. In their space, guests can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $250 gift card.    Fall Garden Tips. UGA Extension Cobb County Master Gardeners, located in space 102, are onsite throughout the show to plant knowledge about the best fall gardening for Atlanta. With their popular Ask a Gardener program, they’ll walk show guests through what to grow, when to grow it and how to make the most of any-sized space to grow vegetables, plants and flowers.   Find a Furry Friend. While the kitchen is often called the “heart” of a home, the family pet is the “heartbeat” of a home. Those looking to add new furry family member can stop by the Humane Society of Cobb County’s booth during the show and speak with their adoption counselors about the process of pet adoption. They’ll also have a book with pictures and bios of all their available adoptable pets.    The show also features special admission days. To recognize local heroes, the show celebrates first responders, active military personnel, veterans, EMTs, nurses, healthcare workers, firefighters, police and medical personnel with complimentary admission all three days of the show (with valid ID). All new this year, teachers are included, too.     Seniors aged 65+ are also celebrated each day of the show with complimentary admission at the Box Office with valid ID.   Friday is Trade Day. Trade professionals from the home building and renovating industries or members of affiliate associations receive free admission at box office with valid work ID.    Show hours are Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Advance $8 tickets are available at fallatlantahomeshow.mpetickets.com.
