Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers Series “Butterfly in the Sky”
Hapeville’s Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers series kicks off with “Butterfly in the Sky”. Directed and produced by Bradford Thomason & Brett Whitcomb, the film explores the story of one of 80’s and 90’s kids’ favorite television series, “Reading Rainbow,” and how the iconic host LeVar Burton and show creators had to navigate cultivating a love of reading through the screen. the beloved PBS children’s series Reading Rainbow. A reception will take place at 6 p.m. before the screening, where attendees can engage in conversation with the filmmakers themselves, and the screening will follow following shortly after at 7 pm. The event is free, and all are welcome!
