American Liver Foundation (ALF)) is proud to once again host its annual Liver Life Walk in Atlanta on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The Pavilion at Brook Run Park, 4770 N. Peachtree Road, in Dunwoody, Georgia. Registration/check-in begins at 9 a.m. for this fun 1.5 mile walk that officially kicks-off at 10 a.m. until noon. ALF’s Liver Life Walk in Atlanta helps raise funds and awareness regarding liver disease as well as provides opportunities for life-long connections and networks of support between patients, families and all who are affected by liver disease.
“It’s an honor to participate in ALF’s Liver Life Walk Atlanta because I believe it’s important to share my story in the hopes of helping others diagnosed with alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD), which turned into a liver cancer diagnosis,” said Beth Lehman, ALF Advocacy Ambassador, passionate Liver Life Walk Atlanta Event Chair and liver transplant recipient. “I understand the shame and guilt associated with this diagnosis and just want to educate people on alcohol use disorder (AUD) and how to maintain optimal liver health while struggling with the challenges of this particular disease. This is my fifth year sober and my fourth liver-versary coming up in April. It is my lifelong goal to continue educating people by sharing my story as well as sharing ALF’s valuable resources and programs available that help liver patients and their families navigate their journey.”
All funds raised will go towards ALF’s mission to support those affected by liver disease. There is a $20 registration fee for walkers 18 and up. Additionally, walk participants who individually raise $100 by Thursday, March 13 will reserve a commemorative 2025 Liver Life Walk t-shirt in their size. Note: T-shirts will be available for pick-up on the morning of the event at the check-in/registration table.
ALF will also host a Virtual Walk and this year’s 2025 Virtual Walk Chair is Grant Haley, an accomplished Penn State Letterman and NFL Veteran who achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. Grant Haley was raised in Atlanta and will be in attendance at Liver Life Walk Atlanta, along with his mother. Grant stated, “I’m the proud son of liver transplant recipient, Dr. Carla Neal-Haley, who was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. A liver transplant from a living donor, who happened to be our kind next door neighbor, actually saved my mother’s life. I’m so thankful for all of the support my mother received and I feel it’s important to pay it forward. I’m excited to help raise funds and awareness regarding ALF and share all their resources and support available to liver patients and their families.”
ALF gratefully acknowledges our 2025 Liver Life Walk National Sponsor, Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, for their continued leadership and support in helping liver patients live longer, healthier lives as well as helping us reach those most in need in underserved communities.
