Wine Dinner: An Evening With Lan Kristančič of Movia Wines
Lan Kristančič represents the next generation at Movia, working alongside his father, Aleš, who has shaped the estate's bold, natural style. Together, they continue to push boundaries while staying rooted in tradition. Their wines feel alive--layered, soulful, and unmistakably tied to where they come from. From textured Rebula to vibrant pét-nats, the wines of Movia are such a delight.
Why we love the wines: Bold, legendary, unapologetic, delicious, and unique--just a few words that come to mind when we think of Movia. In Slovenia's Goriška Brda, the Kristančič family has farmed organically for generations, embracing biodynamics and letting nature lead. Fermented with native yeasts and bottled unfiltered, their wines are pure, expressive, and crafted with a sense of origin.
