Heavy Weighs the King — Carmen Keigans and Brian Whitman of I Nine, signed to Clive Davis's J Records in 2005 and the subject of Rick Beato's 1.6-million-view video "Almost Famous: Cruelty of the Music Industry" — play the first-ever ticketed concert at The Moon on Ponce, a 1902 home that ran as the Shady Rest Inn hotel in the 1920s and officially opens as a venue in October. Kalen Nash (Ponderosa, Dega) opens. The band's new full length Avidyā is self produced. Doors 4 PM, music 5 PM.
