Read to Farm Animals
Cherokee Charter Academy is thrilled to partner with Hidden Acres Animal Sanctuary to host a unique reading event on Monday, July 18, from 10:00 am-11:30 am. Hidden Acres Animal Sanctuary, a local non-profit rescue farm, will bring some of their rescue and therapy animals to Cherokee Charter Academy's one-of-a-kind literacy event during which emerging young readers get the opportunity to read to animals. Bring your favorite book or borrow one of ours and take advantage of this truly unique opportunity to foster a deeper love for reading while showing kindness toward animals!
Everyone is invited to attend this unique event as we start our newest tradition to read to local rescue animals in our community to spread the power of reading and education all while embracing kindness to animals and others. There are great benefits in reading to animals in a stance against illiteracy. Cherokee Charter embraces community, youth empowerment, competency, and an ever-growing mission of kindness as we cultivate our students to be their very best selves in the world which aligns with the same missions as Hidden Acres.
