Polk Twp Environmental Day
Come out for a day of family fun and learn a bit about the great outdoors! Polk Township is holding a family Environmental Day on Sunday, October 6, 11 am-3 pm at its Walking Park in Kresgeville. This free event will feature food, music, and activities such as a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, face painting, cider pressing, crafts and games. State and community organizations will be on hand with informational displays and demonstrations regarding environmental topics such as fishing, farming, wildlife, butterflies, recycling,fly tying, etc. The park, which borders Middle Creek, a Class A Trout Stream, is located at 121 Polk Township Rd. in Kresgeville (Kunkletown for GPS).
The family Environmental Day will be held rain or shine. Volunteers are needed. If you are interested in helping on the day of the event or would like to participate as an organization, contact the township office at 610-681-5376.
