Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Junior
Second Baptist Church of Bethlehem, PA is continuing its long-standing tradition of celebrating the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and has partnered with Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem Area Moravians (BAM), Moravian Theological Seminary, and Bethlehem Interfaith Group - BIG to create a community-wide celebration in Foy Hall (parking available in nearby University lots).
Stop by any time between 2 - 3 p.m. to journey through history while enjoying light refreshments as young members of Second Baptist embody historical figures including Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Dr. King in the lobby.
At 3 p.m., presentations celebrating Dr. King’s interfaith legacy begin in Foy Hall Auditorium with speakers from Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions sharing their insights. Music and dance performances on stage will follow as well as a renowned performer presenting Dr. King’s oratory.
