All Saints Memorial Service including "Requiem" by Heather Sorensen
Featuring the choirs of Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, this service will include music and liturgy to remember those who have passed. Among works being performed will be "Requiem" by Heather Sorensen (with orchestra). Heather Sorensen's "Requiem" is a 35-minute work commissioned in memory of lives lost to COVID-19. It is scored for SATB chorus, soprano and tenor solo, and chamber orchestra. The piece blends traditional Latin texts with English scripture and hymn references. Other works being performed include pieces by Dan Forrest, Joseph Martin, and William Dawson. All are welcome. No tickets are required, but a free-will offering will be taken.
