Joe Cirotti Trio – Roots-Infused, Eclectic Americana Modern String Band
Delighted to welcome the Joe Cirotti Trio to Godfrey Daniels proper, after their standout performance at Godfrey Daniels Day during Musikfest 2023!
The Joe Cirotti Trio, a well-oiled string band from the shadows of Northwest Jersey’s Appalachian ridge, brings together their multi-instrumentalist upbringings with a passion for the roots of American folk, country, and bluegrass music. Formed in 2021, the trio consists of Joe Cirotti on guitar, Pete Lister on upright bass, and Timmy Coyle on mandolin and guitar, crafting a sound steeped in tradition yet infused with a modern twist.
Their musical journey encompasses influences as diverse as Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, and gypsy jazz, showcasing their ability to blend genres seamlessly. While primarily performing as a trio, the ensemble occasionally expands to include banjo, fiddle, dobro, percussion, or additional mandolin, often joined by founding member Mike Alexander.
The Joe Cirotti Trio has become a fixture at premier venues across the NWNJ area, captivating audiences with their authentic sound and energetic performances. Their debut release, “Joe Cirotti Trio,” launched in December 2023, is a testament to their dedication to the craft, available for purchase on CD or Vinyl at live shows and streaming on all major platforms.
With influences including Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Django Reinhardt, and Pink Floyd, the Joe Cirotti Trio offers a unique blend of Americana, bluegrass, folk, alt-country, gypsy jazz, and acoustic pop, ensuring an unforgettable musical experience for listeners of all tastes.
