Conversations with the Curator: The Legacy of Timothy George Hare

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, join NCHGS’s Curator of Exhibitions in honoring the life and legacy of one of Easton’s most beloved icons, Tim Hare. Often described as “larger than life” and known for his warm smile and large, white frame glasses, Tim worked as an architect, pen-and-ink artist, and a tireless advocate against federal ‘urban renewal’ plans that targeted downtown Easton from the 1970s onward.
But while some remember Tim for his architectural and artistic works, no aspect of his life would be complete without the love and resilience of his husband, Earl Ball. Together for 44 years, Tim and Earl participated in most Gay Pride marches in NYC since 1977, advocating for marriage equality and LGBT rights in the city and beyond.
