"Love Beyond Chance" Charity Auction
The Salvation Army of Reading will host its first ever Charity Auction on Thursday May 11th, 2023 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at The Reading Country Club. The event honors Lieutenant Lance Lillis and The Reading Fire Department, and aims to raise money for it’s various programs including supportive housing, food programming, holiday assistance, utility assistance, case management, violence prevention and the learning center. Sponsors include M&T Bank, Irish Creek Construction, Twiford Electrical and Customer’s Bank.
This year’s “Love Beyond Chance” Charity Auction includes a full dinner, cash bar, silent auction and live auction. There will be plenty of time before and after the program to network. During the program, board members, staff and program recipients will talk about The Salvation Army’s mission. The Salvation Army is honored to have Joseph Smith as the auctioneer as well as retired WEEU radio host, Charles Adams emcee the event.
