Returning Our Watersheds To A Balanced Ecological System

A lecture by Native Plants Specialist and Registered landscape Architect David Hughes, on “Returning Our Watersheds To A Balanced Ecological System”.
To be held on March 18th, 7PM at The Carversville United Church of Christ, 3736 Aquetong Rd, Carversville, PA 18913. Tickets are $5 for non-members. Free for PWA members.
The Paunacussing Watershed Association in Bucks County, is excited to present a one-hour talk offering information and tips on how you can help address the effects of severe weather events on your property and local environment. Flooding, tree damage, erosion and stress on our natural habitats, compels us to seek better environmental stewardship. “If we each do our part and come together as a community, we can make a difference.” Said Kurt Leasure, PWA president.
David will discuss:
• Hedgerows, stream conservation and restoration
• Creating diverse garden habitats that improve water quality
• Planting native species to increase biodiversity and increase ecological recovery after periods of environmental stress
• Ways to reduce destructive landscape practices
