On Sunday, December 7th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Pottsgrove Manor invites you to indulge in the sights, sounds, and scents of an 18th-century holiday experience, with “Colonial Pottsgrove by Candlelight.” As dusk settles, the historic manor will glow with the gentle flicker of candlelight, welcoming guests into a richly decorated home that reflects the festive traditions of colonial America. The air will be filled with the scent of bayberry candles and seasonal spices, while the sounds of harpsichord and dancing bring the celebration to life. Enjoy a self-guided tour throughout the Manor, discovering something new in each room. Dancers will give elegant performances of the era. in full historic costume—offering a lively glimpse into the entertainments enjoyed during Twelfth Night festivities. Hearth fires will roar in the kitchen to bring the grandeur of 18th-century foodways to life. Inside candlelit rooms, reenactors will share stories of colonial customs, ongoing labor, and the significance of Twelfth Night as the joyful continuation of the Yuletide season. This immersive event offers a unique opportunity to experience the holidays through the senses—perfect for all ages! Admission is free, but donations of $4 per guest are gratefully accepted. Free visitor parking is available at Pottstown Memorial Park, located at 75 W. King Street, with a complimentary shuttle to and from the site.
