Summer Choral Festival Concert
Join us for the 2025 Summer Choral Festival Concert, featuring the Quintessence Summer Choral Festival Chorus and Orchestra in a powerful performance of "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace" by Karl Jenkins, conducted by Matthew Greer.
The concert will also include a performance by the 2025 Festival Scholars Chorus, showcasing works by Karen Marrolli, Jake Runestad, Craig Hella Johnson, Ysaÿe Barnwell, Reginal Wright, Jocelyn Hagen, Dessa, and more.
Since 2013, Quintessence has produced a weeklong Summer Choral Festival for adult and school-aged singers who want to experience the thrill of performing a major choral-orchestral work together. Each year’s festival centers around a theme designed to foster connection and inspire change. This year’s theme highlights music’s power to bridge divides and promote understanding. The festival will include community workshops and events that uplift local efforts to build peace in our politics and culture and end with a community concert.
