Donations needed for “Packets of Love”
The fourth annual “Packets of Love” event to assemble packets of needed items for those experiencing homelessness in the community will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at Belen Moose Lodge 1680, 19482 N.M. 314, Belen.
The project was created by Yvonne Vallejos in memory of her son, Johnathon Saiz, who was killed in 2018.
Donation boxes for items to go in the packets will be at:

•American Post Legion 85, 3474-A N.M. 47, Los Lunas
•American Past Legion 81, 325 S. Main Street, Belen
•Belen Senior Citizen Center, 715 S. Main Street, Belen

Gloves
Socks
Scarves
Emergency blankets
Small/regular bottled water
Gum
Individually wrapped candy
Tooth brushes
Tooth paste
Gallon zip lock bags
Travel size items needed:
Shampoo and conditioner
Body wash
Deodorant
Cleansing wipes
Menstrual pads/tampons
Hair ties
Hair brushes
Small snacks (no opening device needed)
