Join us at The 8th House in Albuquerque this March as we showcase the captivating work of Joseph Coventry, a self-taught mixed-media artist known for his surreal and abstract figurative paintings. Coventry’s art, inspired by music, poetry, and deeply personal experiences, blends rich textures, bold color palettes, and expressive forms to create striking, thought-provoking pieces.

Having painted since childhood, Coventry found refuge in art from a challenging upbringing, later balancing his creative journey with a 40-year nursing career. His work is an exploration of imagination, memory, and emotion—each piece telling a vivid story through unique compositions and layered techniques.

Visitors to The 8th House can expect to see an array of Coventry’s original paintings. An extended evening event with light treats will be available on Friday, 7th of March, 5pm-7pm.
