Eclipse Viewer Craft Program
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk. Albuquerque is not in the “path of totality,” but we will still get a pretty exciting view. To safely view an eclipse, you need to use eye protection and/or an eclipse-viewing device for indirect viewing. Please join us to construct a simple, yet effective pinhole camera device using a cereal box for safe viewing a solar eclipse. Please bring a cereal box or similar. All other materials will be provided. All ages are welcome!
