Motown Praise Town 2024 Gala for A Peaceful Habitation
You are invited to A Peaceful Habitation's 2024 Motown Praise Town Gala—APH’s 15th annual fundraiser and community appreciation event. The Gala is our way of connecting with our community in an entertaining and enjoyable way while also raising funds for our organization. We will have a raffle, luncheon, silent auction, music, testimonies, and entertainment. Our MCs will be Logan Rader and Monica Wicki, hosts of the NM Living Show on FOX NM and KRQE.
Since 2007, APH has been helping women incarcerated and recently released from New Mexico correctional facilities and detention centers to transition and reentering society and also reconnect with family. It provides faith-based assistance with resources, referrals, spiritual wellness, and community support to any justice-involved, marginalized individual, whether they are newly release or simply in need.
“When you help one individual, the residual effect is instrumental in providing hope to everyone else in that individual’s circle of influence. We are literally ‘hope dispensers. Reaching up and reaching back,” says Leticia Chavez-Paulette, Executive Director and Co-Founder of A Peaceful Habitation. “This event is our largest fundraiser and a major funder for the organization.”
Features of our gala include:
• Music by Kevin Pollock, CEO of Whoope Entertainment and the Arts of Krossing Over
• Silent Auction for items such as gift certificates for local services and restaurants, books, jewelry, and themed baskets
• A three course luncheon
• Entertainment
• Testimonies of graduates and volunteers of A Peaceful Habitation
• Raffle
Prizes for the raffle include:
• 1st Prize – Jetson/Atlas Electric Foldable Bike ($450.00 value donated by Chavez Paulette Consulting)
• 2nd Prize – Weekend at a local Airbnb (donated by Alica Carter’s Interiors)
• 3rd Prize -- $250.00 cash (donated by Gette Vigil)
The Gala will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Sheraton Uptown Hotel, 2600 Louisiana Blvd. NE. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. The program starts at 11:30 a.m..
