Guided Hike at Rinconada Canyon, Petroglyph National Monument
This sandy trail is 2.2 miles roundtrip and offers views of 300 petroglyphs, the Albuquerque Volcanoes, and native wildlife like flowering plants and butterflies. No shade along the way. Bring water with you. Vault toilets available. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes with good ankle support. Be alert for rattlesnakes. Binoculars are recommended. Ask your local library about borrowing a birding kit.
