On this guided hike you learn about the history of the Monument - from the geology that shaped it to the Ancestral Puebloans and Spaniards that left their marks behind to the formation of the monument as the city grew up around it. There are 300 petroglyphs visible on this trail. Bring water with you. Vault toilets available. No shade along the trail. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes with good ankle support. Wear sunscreen and sun protection. Binoculars are recommended. Ask your local library about borrowing a birding kit.
