Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival

From March 21-24, the Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival, with support from the Albuquerque Arts & Culture Department, will gather over 70 poets from across the nation in Albuquerque for 3 days of poetry slams, workshops, themed readings that highlight marginalized voices, and specialty showcases. All of the preliminary events are free to attend and anyone is welcome to participate, share their own craft and learn alongside these national talents. Events will occur in multiple venues across town during daytime and evening hours, so be sure to check the schedule on the event website.
The only ticketed event is the Finals Stage, where the top 4 Individual Poets and top 4 teams will compete for the national title and $5000 in prizes, and you help decide who wins it all! Early Bird pricing for Finals is only $15 through Eventbrite.
