The IPCC’s Native American Student Art Show was established to encourage creativity among Native youth, and to help them recognize that the future preservation and evolution of Native culture lies with them. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Pollinators”, giving us a closer look at the environment around us. We, as Pueblo people, are thankful for our relationship with the pollinators, and these beautiful creatures are often seen in Pueblo artwork such as pottery, paintings, clothing, and books. How do our flowers, plants, and gardens thrive and provide for us?
Winning artists will each receive a prize, and all participants can make their works available for sale and receive 100% of the proceeds. The curated and juried show will be on display Oct. 28 through February 2024.
