La Llorona Performance at Coronado Historic Site
Visitors can enjoy extended hours at Coronado Historic Site, as well as a special performance of La Llorona by Rosalia Pacheco, at their monthly Dawn to Dusk day. Visitors can listen to storyteller Rosalia Pacheco perform La Llorona, or The Wailing Woman from 2-4 p.m. This famous ghost from Spanish folklore is known throughout the world for her eerie, spine-chilling cries as she searches for her lost drowned loved ones, her darling children. Dawn to Dusk gives visitors a chance to enjoy the site and activities in the early mornings, throughout the afternoon, and into the evening. Admission is free to all New Mexico residents with ID. Non-residents are $7 for adults and free for children 16 and younger. Rosalia Pacheco’s performance is sponsored by the NM Humanities Council.
